SHEPARD, Chief Justice.
This ease presents a question of first impression brought on by advancing reproductive technology: whether a husband who consents to the heterologous artificial insemination of his wife is the legal father of the resulting child.
We find that the appellant here is the legal father of the child and is, accordingly, responsible for the child’s support. Therefore, we grant transfer and affirm.
