The Municipal Safe Deposit Company was organized under the Banking Law (Cons. Laws, ch. 2) in 1924, the principal office of the corporation being located in the borough of Brooklyn, county of Kings, State of New York. Its capital stock was $100,000 and the incorporators were all Brooklyn men having at that time no connection with The Bank of United States. Later the stock of the company was acquired by the bank, the defendants Marcus and Singer becoming directors.
