In this patent case, plaintiff, FastShip LLC (“FastShip”), alleges that the United States (“the government”) through the Department of the Navy (“the Navy”) has infringed Claims 1 and 19 of its U.S. Patent No. 5,080,032 (“the ’032 patent”) and Claims 1, 3, 5, and 7 of its U.S. Patent No. 5,231,946 (“the ’946 patent”) and thus is liable for damages under 28 U.S.C. § 1498(a).
