OPINION

STOVER, Justice.

Jerry Albert Sims was indicted for the possession of controlled substances — cocaine and methamphetamine. After a hearing on, *539and denial of, Sims’ motion to suppress, the trial court deferred the adjudication of guilt and placed Sims on community supervision for a period of three years. In his sole point of error, Sims contends “the trial court reversibly erred and abused its discretion in overruling appellant’s pre-trial motion to suppress evidence obtained as a result of an illegal arrest.”
