CONNER, Chief Justice.

The appellee, J. B. Smith, instituted this suit in the District Court of Wichita County on April 25, 1904, against the appellants, the Fort Worth & Denver City Railway Company and the Missouri, Kansas & Texas Railway Company of Texas, for damages resulting from-personal injuries. The trial on April 1, 1904, resulted in a verdict and judgment in appellee’s favor against both of the appellants in the sum of $1,000.
