Plaintiff appeals by leave granted from a decision of the Workers’ Compensation Appeal Board denying her compensation for injuries sustained in the course of her employment as a day-care aide. We reverse.

In 1977, plaintiff was certified by the Department of Social Services as a day-care aide, allow*837ing her to provide in-home care for the children of DSS clients at the state’s expense. Plaintiff was eventually hired by June Radomski, an ADC recipient with two school-aged children.
