CHÁVEZ, Chief Justice.

{2} Over seven years ago, Jose and Olivia Pineheira (Plaintiffs) filed a complaint against Allstate Insurance Co. (Defendant) alleging bad faith, fraud, unfair trade practices, and other claims.
