[¶ 1] The State of Maine appeals from the judgment of the Superior Court (Ken-nebec County, Atwood, J.) vacating the judgment of the District Court (Augusta, Vafiades, J.) which found Joshua Black guilty of the crime of cruelty to animals. 1 The State contends that the Superior Court erred in concluding that there was insufficient evidence for the District Court to find Joshua Black guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. We vacate the judgment of the Superior Court.
