GIERKE, Judge:
1. A general court-martial composed of officer and enlisted members convicted appellant, contrary to his pleas, of attempted rape and rape (2 specifications), in violation of Articles 80 and 120, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 USC §§ 880 and 920, respectively. The members sentenced appellant to a dishonorable discharge, confinement for 60 years, total forfeitures, and reduction to the lowest enlisted grade.
