Specialist Stephen E. Boone, Jr., was convicted by a general court-martial, consisting of officers and enlisted members, of attempted rape and two specifications of rape, in violation of Articles 80 and 120, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 USC §§ 880 and 920, respectively. The convening authority approved the adjudged sentence of a dishonorable discharge, confinement for 60 years, total forfeitures, and reduction to Private E-1, but suspended for one year the confinement in excess of 50 years.
