delivered the opinion of the Court.

Contrary to his pleas, appellant was convicted by a general court-martial composed of officer members of an indecent assault upon his step-daughter, in violation of Article 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 USC § 934. The members sentenced appellant to a bad-conduct discharge, reduction to pay grade E^l, and 3 years’ confinement. The convening authority reduced the confinement period to 1 year but otherwise approved the sentence as adjudged. The Court of Criminal Appeals affirmed the findings and sentence in an unpublished opinion.…
