COX, Judge:

Appellant was tried by general court-martial at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, during November and December, 1983. *226Contrary to his pleas, he was convicted by a panel of officer and enlisted members of attempted rape, in violation of Article 80, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. § 880. His sentence to confinement for 4 years, reduction to E-l, and a dishonorable discharge was approved by the convening authority. The Court of Military Review affirmed these results in a short-form opinion on January 18, 1985.
