Introduction

Defendant Frank Padilla Mendibles appeals from a judgment of conviction entered after a jury trial. The jury found defendant not guilty of four counts of forcible lewd conduct with a child under the age of 14 (Pen. Code, § 288, subd. (b)) [counts I and II, in which the victim allegedly was Pauline; count III, in which the victim allegedly was Elizabeth; and count V, in which the victim allegedly was Mary].
