On November 18, 1957, the plaintiff purchased from the defendant Universal Mo*690tor Company a new Ford automobile for $3,494. Of the purchase price $1,200 was paid in cash, $1,312 by trade-in allowance on an old car, and the balance of $982, plus a service charge, was to be paid according to a retail installment contract which retained title in the seller until all of the installments of the contract were paid and gave to the seller the right to take immediate possession in event of default. None of the installments were paid.
