On February 14, 1947, the plaintiffs filed a petition praying for the appointment of a receiver to take charge and possession of the property of the defendant corporation and to hold the same intact and to continue the prosecution and defense of any and all actions pending by or against the corporation in any courts, and any procedure pending before the Interstate Commerce Commission of the United States or any other governmental body.
