This is an appeal from a conviction of robbery in the first degree and forcible rape.

The facts constituting the sordid offenses will be briefly summarized.

On April 27, 1967, a young woman and her male companion were parked in an automobile on 53rd Street approximately 200 yards east of Topeka Boulevard in Shawnee County, Kansas. A gray Chevrolet automobile drove by the parked car, stopped, and the occupants thereof got out and came back.
