Plaintiff The Ekotek Site PRP Committee (the Committee) brought this contribution action against a number of defendants pursuant to the federal Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA), 42 U.S.C. §§ 9601-9675, to recover a portion of its past and future costs incurred in cleaning up a site contaminated by hazardous substances.
