HATFIELD, District Judge.

PROCEDURAL HISTORY

On April 4,1980, the defendant, pursuant to a plea agreement, entered a plea of guilty to the reduced charge of second degree murder. On June 19, 1980, defendant was given a preliminary life sentence, and committed to the custody of the Attorney General for study and evaluation, pursuant to 18 U.S.C. §§ 4205(c) and (d), and 5010(e).
