Susie T. Porter brought suit against S. J. Edmondston and the First National Bank of Blackwell, seeking to cancel and set aside a certain promissory note and chattel mortgage in favor of 5. J. Edmondston, and to recover certain diamonds placed in escrow with the First National Bank of Blackwell as a pledge and additional security for the payment of, the promissory note. She also asked to have the bank enjoined from turning the property over to Edmondston until the final determination of the suit.
