June 18, 1932, Hood River County, as owner and vendor, and the plaintiff, as vendee, signed a contract which bound the latter to purchase the real property involved in this action for a consideration of $1,200, payable $240 upon execution of the contract and the balance, together with 6 per cent interest, in equal annual installments of $240 each.
