This is a case about a business deal gone sour between two insurance-claims-adjusting firms. Looking to expand, Plaintiff-Appellant IAS expressed interest in acquiring Defendant-Appellee James Buckley & Associates. During negotiations, James Buckley, owner of Buckley & Associates, made various representations regarding the strength of his company's business-representations that IAS now contends were fraudulent.
