The question here is, Can a race, in this case a group of negroes, by picketing, impose their will on a white merchant and compel him to employ colored, instead of white, clerks ?
In August, 1938, a negro named Kiowa Costonie came to Baltimore and set himself up in business as a “healer,” doing his work in colored churches. He was also known as “Tony Green,” a name which he says he acquired in vaudeville about seven years ago.
