This case is before the Court on a Motion for Summary Judgment filed by the Defendant, James Sweeney. The Plaintiff, Paul Jacobson, filed his complaint in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky on August 5, 1996, alleging fraud and negligence in connection with the sale of a property in Bethesda, Maryland. The complaint identified two defendants, James Sweeney, a resident of Washington, D.C., and a co-defendant, a resident of Lexington, Kentucky.
