Appellant Stephen Jonathon Vogt was found guilty by a jury for the capital murder of Mario Alberto Raygoza on September 6, 2009, and sentenced to imprisonment for life, without the possibility of parole, in the Institutional Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
