Appellant Andres Alfredo Segovia was charged by indictment with the murder of Joel Flores; the State provided notice of intent to enhance Segovia’s penalty with two prior felony convictions. The jury subsequently found Segovia guilty and assessed punishment at fifty-five years’ confinement in the Institutional Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
