The plaintiff, a dry wall subcontractor, sued the defendant owner-contractors, claiming $5347 due under a contract. The defendants denied that the plaintiff performed under the contract and, in their special defense and counterclaim, alleged that the plaintiff failed to complete the work in a thorough and workmanlike manner as required by the contract. The defendants further counterclaimed for liquidated damages under the terms of the agreement, claiming that the work was completed 114 days late.
