KASOLD, Judge:

Mrs. Faunda Hatch, the surviving spouse of World War II veteran Myron Hatch, appeals through counsel from a May 13, 2003, Board of Veterans’ Appeals (Board) decision that denied her claim for enhanced dependency and indemnity compensation (enhanced DIC) under section 1311(a)(2) of title 38, United States Code. The Board denied her claim on the basis that her husband had not been evaluated as 100% disabled as a result of a service-connected disability for at least eight continuous years prior to his death.
