*1199 I. INTRODUCTION
After an apprentice electrician was killed on the job, her mother sought workers' compensation death benefits or other damages related to her daughter's death. Acting on the advice of attorneys but representing herself, she brought a claim before the Alaska Workers' Compensation Board.
