Appellant Kanai Gikonyo was convicted in Saline County Circuit Court of internet stalking of a child pursuant to Ark. Code Ann. § 5-27-306 (Repl. 2006). He was sentenced to eight years’ imprisonment in the Arkansas Department of Correction, fined $7000, and required to register as a sex offender.
