Introduction
This decision concerns whether proceeds from the sale of a homestead are exempt. Chapter 7 1 trustee R. Sam Hopkins (“Trustee”) filed an Objection to [Debtor’s] Claim of Exemption. Docket No. 20. Debtor Mark Edwin Marriott responded. Docket No. 26. The Court conducted a hearing on the objection on February 9, 2010, and accepted post-hearing supplemental briefing.
