MEMORANDUM AND ORDER

SAFFELS, Senior District Judge.

This matter is before the court on the defendant’s motion for summary judgment (Doc. 64) and the plaintiff’s motion in limine (Doe. 61).

I. BACKGROUND

The plaintiff, Robert W. Smith, was born on December 11,1930. The defendant, Midland Brake, Inc. (“Midland Brake”), hired the plaintiff on September 5, 1984. The plaintiff first worked as a custodian, and later as a heavy assembler. The plaintiff was laid off due to a workforce reduction on December 30, 1984.
