The appellee, in his complaint, filed on the 9th day of April, 1883, alleges, in substance, that on or about, the 1st day of June, 1882, he was lawfully in possession of the land therein described, and was farming the same, and was the owner and had growing thereon a large quantity of corn,, pumpkins and cornstalks, of great value; that the appellant was a railroad corporation duly organized and engaged in the construction of a railroad from the city of Laporte to Lacrosse in Laporte county, and that at the time mentioned,, and at sundry times thereafter, the appellant wrongfully entered upon…
