This is an action for the wrongful death of the plaintiff's intestate. The defendant owned a Chevrolet car in which on 10 July, 1932, at two-thirty in the afternoon he started with others on a trip from Nags Head to Ocean View, Virginia. In the front seat were the defendant, who drove the car, the defendant's wife, and John Hollowell, and in the rumble were Clara Wise, the deceased, and Ira Partridge.
