The Circle K Corporation applied to the Department for an off-sale beer and wine license; protests were filed by the El Monte City Council, Byron E. Thompson as superintendent, El Monte School District, Mrs. Bette Minick, president, Charles E. Godley Elementary School P.T.A. and Ralph N. Klein, a resident of the area.
