United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, Local No. 329, instituted this action by filing before the board of equalization of Oklahoma county a protest to the action of the board in assessing and placing upon the tax rolls certain lots owned by it, with the improvements thereon. It is averred in the protest that the assessment is unlawful because the real estate is used solely by and for the benefit of the members of the Union, which is a voluntary nonprofit association of laborers, the purposes of which are educational, charitable, benevolent, scientific and fraternal, and…
