I. Plaintiff’s Appeal
We first consider whether plaintiff was entitled as a matter of law to damages on its Precision claim. Plaintiff argues that a victim of commercial bribery is entitled to recover at least the amount of the bribes as damages. Plaintiff contends that to allow Precision and Pegram to escape liability would frustrate public policy. Plaintiff additionally argues that the damages should be trebled based on the unfair and deceptive commercial conduct. G.S. 75-1.1 el seq.
