The defendant appeals from the judgment of conviction, rendered after a jury trial, of manslaughter in the first degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-55 (a) (l),1 conspiracy to commit assault in the first degree in violation of General Statutes §§ 53a-48 (a)2 and 53a-59 (a) (l),3 and assault in the first degree in violation of General Statutes §§ 53a-59 (a) (l)4 and 53a-8.5 The defendant was acquitted of a charge of weapons in a motor vehicle in violation of General Statutes § 29-38.
