The defendant, Terrance Stevenson, appeals from the judgment of conviction, rendered after a jury trial, of murder as an accessory in violation of General Statutes §§ 53a-54a (a)1 and 53a-8,2 and conspiracy to commit murder in violation of General Statutes §§ 53a-54a and 53a-48 (a).3 On appeal, the defendant claims that the trial court improperly (1) refused to admit into evidence a witness’ prior inconsistent statement under State v.
