The appellant was convicted of battery upon his own confession, and sentenced to imprisonment in the county *391jail for a period of thirty days and to pay a fine of $100, and in default of payment thereof that he be confined and imprisoned in the county jail one day for each dollar of fine so adjudged, until the fine be paid.
