Frank R. Rogers, while a resident of the state of Kansas, executed and delivered a written contract of which the following is a copy:
“350.O'O’ Santa Fe, Kans., May 8th, 1893:
“August 1st, 1894, for value received, I promise to pay to the order of Kern and Rosenthal, three hundred and fifty dollars, at the Haskell County Bank, with interest at 6 per cent, per annum from date until paid.
