In this workers’ compensation case, the defendants appeal from the award of benefits by the Industrial Commission to the plaintiff, Evelyn D. Bowles.
Ms. Evelyn Bowles was employed by defendant CTS of Asheville, Inc. (CTS) as a parts inspector in the quality control department for several years. Metal or tin pans containing parts for her inspection routinely were brought to her work station. The pans were stacked three to five pans high on a pallet.
