OPINION

HARBISON, Justice.

Appellee was convicted of murder in the first degree and sentenced to death. The judgment was affirmed by this Court, State v. Melson, 688 S.W.2d 342 (Tenn.1982). The Supreme Court of the United States denied review. Melson v. Tennessee, 459 U.S. 1137, 103 S.Ct. 770, 74 L.Ed.2d 983 (1983). Thereafter counsel for appellee filed a petition for writ of error coram nobis which was denied by the trial court after an evidentiary hearing. The Court of Criminal Appeals affirmed that decision, and both this Court and the Supreme Court of the United States denied review. See…
