I. SUMMARY
Plaintiff Eben Alexander, III is a neurosurgeon. He was a member of the defen dant Brigham Surgical Group Foundation (“BSG”) from 1988 until his employment was terminated in 2001 by BSG’s successor, defendant Brigham & Women’s Physicians Organization, Inc. (“BWPO”). 1
BSG maintained two unfunded deferred compensation plans for its surgeons who were, like Alexander, also members of the Harvard Medical School Faculty. These were the Faculty Retirement Benefit Plan (the “FRBP”) and the Unfunded Deferred Compensation Plan (the “UDC”). Alexander…
