LEWIS, Circuit Judge.
In this appeal, we revisit an issue which has commanded the attention of the Supreme Court and other courts of appeals since we last addressed it: whether claims of statutory violations of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974, 29 U.S.C. § 1001 et seq. (“ERISA”), are subject to arbitration pursuant to section 2 of the Federal Arbitration Act (“FAA” or “Arbitration Act”), 9 U.S.C. § 2. In Barrowclough v.
