Plaintiff in error brought this suit in the district court of Jefferson county, Tex., to recover upon a paving certificate issued by the city of Beaumont for the sum of $406.25, with accrued interest, and for $150 as attorney’s fee. The pz’ayer was for judgment personally against defendant in error and for foreclosure of the paving lien.
