On 18 December 1981, subsequent to the entry of default and default judgment against defendants on 15 December 1981, defendants filed an answer and a motion to set aside the entry of default and default judgment. On 26 January 1982 plaintiff filed a motion for entry of default and default judgment under G.S. 1A-1, Rule 55(b)(2), North Carolina Rules of Civil Procedure.
