SULLIVAN, Judge:

On January 15, 16, and 17, 1986, appellant was tried by a general court-martial composed of members at Mather Air Force Base, California. Contrary to his pleas, he was found guilty of rape of a female servicemember and unlawful entry of her barracks room, in violation of Articles 120 and 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. §§ 920 and 934, respectively. He was sentenced to a dishonorable discharge, confinement and forfeiture of $350 pay per month for 4 years, and reduction to the lowest enlisted grade. The convening authority approved this…
