A military judge sitting as a special court-martial convicted appellant, pursuant to his pleas, of absence without leave (five specifications), failure to go to his appointed place of duty (four specifications), willful disobedience of a noncommissioned officer’s order, wrongful use of marijuana, wrongful use of cocaine (two specifications), and making and uttering a check without sufficient funds (two specifications), in violation of Articles 86, 91, 112a, and 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. §§ 886, 891, 912a, and 934 [hereinafter UCMJ].
