This was an action by Melissa Stanley and David, her husband, against Mary A. Hopkins and James Hopkins, her husband, to recover possession of certain real estate described.
The defendants filed a cross complaint against the plaintiffs and John S. Jennings, alleging, in substance, that Mrs. Hopkins had purchased the property in controversy from Jennings, and had taken a bond from him for the conveyance of the property when the purchase-money should be paid; that Jennings had put her in possession of the property, and that she had made large and valuable improvements thereon; and that…
