This action was instituted by the plaintiff syndicate to recover from the defendant $10,000 damages, alleged to have been sustained in consequence of the issuance of an attachment against plaintiff’s property in an action commenced by the Gordon Campbell Petroleum Company against the plaintiff to recover from it the sum of $41,651 on an account stated, bond for which attachment was executed by the defendant in the sum of $10,000.
